Outboards

Outboard power is a consideration for powering a 35 to 40 foot multihull cruiser as the engines are relatively inexpensive, light, easy to install, removable for repair and retractable. For the “Ideal Motorsailor” outboard power in the 75 HP to 100HP range is required.  A pair of Suzuki 115HP outboards and fuel should weigh under 1/2 Ton.
