The crush point void and other gaps in the skin of the mast are filled with glass cloth and a mixture of epoxy and cotton fibers. The repaired void is covered with peel ply. This repair is not structural. It just fills the void and allows alignment of the structural unidirectional aircraft glass to be applied to the outer skin.
